In this years em-my award there was a lot of new comedy but not much new drama at the 62nd annual prime-time Emmy Awards on Sunday night."Modern Family," the ABC comedy series about a disarmingly dysfunctional family, won the top comedy series honor as well as writing and supporting actor awards. Fox's cult phenomenon "Glee" — nominated for 19 Emmys — took home two trophies: Jane Lynch for supporting actress in a comedy and series creator Ryan Murphy for comedy direction. The combination of "Modern Family" and "Glee" ended the dominance in the comedy category by " 30 Rock," NBC's critically acclaimed but low-rated spoof of the television business.
On the drama side, the telecast looked like a rerun of the last two years. AMC's " Mad Men," a dark period drama set in the 1960s on Madison Avenue, won its third consecutive Emmy for drama series, while Bryan Cranston, star of AMC's " Breaking Bad," won his third lead acting Emmy for his portrayal of Walter White, a science teacher-turned- crystal meth cook.

Egg recall list/ Products affected:The news has been confirmed via the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that an egg recall has now been launched across the US
acccording to report by USA today, the recall is due to an ongoing outbreak of salmonella, which has sickened hundreds of people since May, according to the CDC. Worst of all, the problem appears to be still ongoing, but has now been tracked to in-shell eggs from Wright County Egg in Galt, Iowa.
The Wright County Egg company, based in Iowa, has issued a recall of 228 million eggs because of reports of the related salmonella outbreaks in several Western states.
The Food and Drug Administration posted that the common salmonella symptoms include fever, diarrhea, nausea,vomiting and abdominal pain. It also pointed consumers to the Web site, eggsafety.org for answers to any questions.
Wright County Eggs sell their products to a number of brand names, which include Albertson, Lucerne, Sunshine, Mountain Dairy, Dutch Farms, Ralph’s, Hillandale, Boomsma’s, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund and Kemps.
If you have recently bought egg products from one of the brand names listed above, you should look out for plant numbers P-1026, P-1413 and P-1946 which are contained on the packaging. You can return the eggs to where you bought them for a full refund.
The FDA (food and drug administration) also noted that the eggs affected by this recall were distributed to food wholesalers, distribution centers and food service companies in California, Illinois, Missouri, Colorado, Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. These companies distribute nationwide

Dr. Laura, has had over fifteen years of talk show stardom, she who coined the self-descriptor “America’s #1 Female Talk Radio Host,” is going off air at the end of the year. Last week the talk show host got into trouble for a segment with a black female caller, and spewed the n-word 11 times over the course of 5 minutes. The talk show host went on Larry King to explain her decision not to re-up her contract: “I’m here to say that my contract is up for my radio show at the end of the year and I have made the decision not to do radio anymore. The reason is: I want to regain my First Amendment rights. I want to be able to say what’s on my mind, and in my heart, what I think is helpful and useful without somebody getting angry, some special interest group deciding this is a time to silence a voice of dissent, and attack affiliates and attack sponsors. “I’m sort of done with that. I’m not retiring. I’m not quitting. I feel energized actually, stronger and freer to say the things that I believe need to be said for people in this country.”
The announcement came by the host of the “Dr. Laura” program was a stunning denouement after a week in which Schlessinger was widely criticized for describing an African American caller to her program as “hypersensitive” for taking offense at a neighbor’s racial taunting. To illustrate her claim of a racial double standard, she said that black comedians often use the N-word on TV without criticism, but the word is forbidden for white people. She used the racial epithet, unexpurgated, 11 times in five minutes, despite her caller’s protests.
Schlessinger later apologized for the remarks, saying she said “the wrong thing” on the air. On Tuesday she went further: During an interview on “Larry King Live” on CNN, Schlessinger said, “My contract is up for my radio show at the end of the year, and I’ve made the decision not to do radio anymore.
